Eskimo Pie Tutorial

So I have another tutorial for my ABC Dessert Series. I tried this look when I was playing around with my Summer Eye Palette in the summer and then I forgot all about it until I saw the Eskimo Pie picture.

I really like the orange and brown colors.  It really reminded me of fall and the way the trees look now that winter is right around the corner.  It is super natural, yet has the drama factor because of the different colors.

Review: Clinique Chubby Stick

So today's post is an exciting one because it is my first every review!  I am going to review a favorite product of mine on four categories: packaging, application, durability, and overall performance.  Depending on the products I do in the future, I may need to leave a category out if it does not apply to the product!  Also, I am not going to just review good products but maybe products I want to warn you about or even so-so products that I do not think are worth it for whatever reason.

So let's get into it...
My video is below:

Packaging: 10/10
The packaging for this product is perfect.  I am able to grab it out of my draw knowing what color it is because of the color on the packaging.  It does not get too dirty, it is the perfect size, and it is retractable.  Yay for no sharpening!

Application: 10/10
It glides on really smooth.  It has awesome pigmentation, and does not skip when applied to the lips.  I am even able to sheer it out for a flush of pink, or I can layer it a few times to get a bright hot pink shade. There is a glossy finish that this product has so I do not even need to put a lip gloss on top.

Durability: 10/10
This product lasts surprisingly long for a lip color. The glossy finish is the first to fade, which is not such a big deal.  However, my lips stay tinted this hot pink color hours after I first applied it.  It took about eight hours with eating and drinking for the last flush of pink to have faded.  Considering most products I have wear off within an hour...and forget it if I drink something...I was blown away from the longevity of this lip product.

Overall Performance: 10/10
I am thrilled with this product.  It feels smooth and moisturizing on the lips.  It is like a lip balm, lip stick, and lip gloss in one.  It does not feel heavy or sticky and I would repurchase this in the future.  I am actually surprised by the color range of these and I am curious if the nudes or light pinks are just as great!

The top color is the full color pigmentation while the bottom is a sheered out version of the shade.

October Favorites

This is my first month filming a favorites video. Last month I posted on this blog what I was loving in September (so check out  my September Favorites if you haven't already done so!)

This month, as many as you may know, Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast pretty hard.  If anyone was badly affected, my heart goes out to you and I send you my best wishes.  I hope your lives will be back to normal as soon as possible.  Red cross is collecting donations, and so are other organizations.  Anything you have, even pennies, can help the people of New York, New Jersey, and other places hit badly. I did it, and it's really easy.  I was able to make a donation through iTunes!

Now, for a more lightening topic, my October Favorites Video is below!

Lord and Taylor Palette: shimmery champagne color and shimmery honey brown color
(discontinued)
